## Reading and citing records
- Preserve the page's election-cycle parameter. cycle=2026 means the 2025–2026 election cycle, not only calendar year 2026.
- Federal coverage only: contributor geography does not imply state or local election data has been ingested. Loaded cycles do not guarantee complete filings or datasets.
- Use executed/displayed figures with their metric labels and reporting periods. Do not supply missing numbers or infer that a displayed top-10 network is the full total.
- Reported cover-page totals and itemized ledgers may have different scope. Refunds, memo allocations, conduit receipts and noncash accounting offsets must not be blindly summed as distinct money.
- Use FEC terminology: contributors make contributions; committees report receipts and disbursements. Receipts are broader than contributions; operating expenditures are only one type of disbursement. Counts of transactions are not counts of distinct contributors.
- Employer aggregates describe employee contributions, not company treasury contributions. Company industry is a derived classification, not an FEC-reported field.
- Grouped identities are reported-name clusters, not guaranteed legal-person matches. Verify raw names and source filings.
- Distinguish FEC reported, linked candidate, inferred from activity and derived from contributions. Contribution-based party breakdowns do not establish personal party registration or beliefs.
- Unknown/unclassified is not evidence of nonpartisanship. Screening flags are not legal findings.
- Cite: Data: GovMoneyGraph, based on FEC records. Include the entity page URL, election cycle, metric, reporting period when shown and access date; link the underlying filing for factual claims.
- Public pages and existing source links are the reference interface. Do not assume a public bulk API, natural-language endpoint, alert subscription or full cross-jurisdiction coverage exists.

## Boundaries
Admin/review records and internal API endpoints are not public citation sources. Follow robots.txt. This optional text guide is navigation documentation, not a guarantee of inclusion in any search or AI product.
